Zerowaste Naturalistic Wedding at One-Thirty-One

Surrounded by sunshine, sea breeze, and blessings from families, friends, and their lovely puppies, Chinny and Gary’s wedding takes place at One Thirty-One, a Mediterranean-style restaurant serving fine French cuisine, located in Sai Kung.

Nothing is more fantastic for a girl than witnessing her dream wedding finally coming true! With the white wedding gown hanging in front of the lovely rosy cabin, Chinny describes the wedding as a fancy scene she has dreamed of since childhood.

Under the concept of "zero-waste wedding," Chinny chooses the wedding gown Zero Waste Daniel, an eco-friendly brand featuring upcycled and handmade clothing and accessories. See how Daniel makes an upcycled bag by hand!

Chinny's elegant gown is made of reused dress scraps, and has been worn by 2 brides in Indonesia and Luxembourg! After Chinny's wedding in Hong Kong, now the dress is on its way to the next bride in New York! What an amazing experience to be part of "the sisterhood of the traveling wedding dress" (just like the movie, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants)!

Chic orange interspersed with peachy and aqua blue, Chinny carefully matched the nature-tone color combination in harmony with the outdoor shore-venue to stress the natural quality and to elaborate a lovely and sweet wedding.

As nature lovers, the wedding features an eco-friendly ceremony, which makes it more meaningful under Hong Kong’s strict situation. Chinny and Gary select several organic elements including the ratton-knitted decorations, Bohemian linen curtains, and elegant earth-tone flower arrangements.

The couple brings the dry bouquet from their prewedding in Japan to the wedding in Hong Kong!

For the sake of environmental protection and also, the expression of personal artistic, Chinny and Gary designed some of their wedding items, such as the sky-blue invitation letter and handmade ceramics as wedding souvenirs to dear guests.

Since the bride is also a film lover, the photographer uses the bride’s favorite Portra film stock and the discontinuing Fuji film stock with delicate pastel contour tones to convey both the warm feelings with shining fireworks and the black-and-white classic film style.

This wedding embraces so many diverse elements, showing us one of the most fashionable lifestyles that integrate the eco-friendly idea into artistic creation.
